Re-Building Sudan after the War

For more than one year now since 15th April 2023, the deadly war and fighting in Sudan is continuing with all its serious consequences. And although the fighting erupted between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Armed Forces, civilians have become the victims of the various clashes.

Following the success of the first conference in the series, this multi-disciplinary emergency conference bring together international experts and high level International Diaspora (researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, private sector, ordinary citizen) from the public and private sectors to share their strategic vision on the future of Sudan and how the Diaspora can contribute to help Sudan in such a difficult time. We aim to foster collaboration between Sudanese abroad and the international community to achieve sustainable peace and rebuild Sudan in a way that ensures dignity and prosperity for its people.

The conference aims to achieve the following key goals:

• Exploring and proposing sustainable reconstruction solutions: the conference seeks to review and discuss various means and strategies to accelerate the process of rebuilding and reconstructing Sudan after the cessation of hostilities.
• Encouraging participation and support: the conference aims to inspire Sudanese abroad, along with the international community, to actively engage in humanitarian initiatives and contribute through donations and support for international appeals.
• Leveraging international experiences: the conference aspires to benefit from the expertise of Sudanese abroad and draw lessons from the experiences of other nations that have faced similar crises, to inspire effective solutions for Sudan’s reconstruction.
