We have established formal links to recognized professional and academic institutions in Sudan, and UK including the UK Royal Colleges and the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), as well as internationally.

We have successfully:

• Formed partnerships with Sudanese, UK based and international organisations
• Raised the profile and engaged in joint projects for Sudanese PH issues;
• Contributed to workshops, training and strategy development in the Sudan, including the 5 year Health Strategy
• Signed a five year Memorandum of Understanding with Sudan Federal Ministry of Health in May 2007
• Supported colleagues from Sudan to secure training opportunities in the UK
• Run International Health workshops in UK universities, including Cambridge and Liverpool.

We continue to:

• Raise the profile of Sudanese PH issues and the group effort
• Lobby for resourcing of PH projects in Sudan.
• Work closely with Sudan federal Ministry of health, universities in Sudan to advance PH training and skills in Sudan
• Communicate externally via newsletters, journal articles and conference presentations
• Maintain personal and group networks of contacts with officials and individuals in Sudan
